Takeaway app Just Eat is bringing its porters concierge service to Electric Picnic music and arts festival and for the third year is offering festival goers a relax and eat retreat. The porters will be on hand at the festival carpark. For those without a ticket to the sold out weekend, Just Eat is placing forks in ten random takeaway orders around the country.
Ten lucky consumers who find the fork will be on their way to Electric Picnic, with a pair of VIP tickets. Just Eat will also pilot ‘Tent Talks’ at the retreat, with a line-up of contributors which includes Marissa Carter, founder of the Cocoa Brown brand and Tropical Popical owner Andrea Horan.
Just Eat marketing director Edel Kinane says this year’s Electric Picnic promises to be better than ever with the retreat offering festival goers treats in an area where they can relax, order food and drink to be delivered by waiters. A range of other services will be provided to revellers in the retreat, including a nail bar, tanning tattoo artists and a barber.
Electric Picnic will be staged in Stradbally, Co Laois, from September 2-4. Headline acts include Lana Del Rey (pictured), The Chemical Brothers, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Gavin James. As well as Just Eat, other festival partners include Electric Ireland, Bacardi, Heineken and Three. The event is organised by Live Nation.
