Londis has launched a new campaign. The independent retail group is said to be investing over €1 million in the campaign over the next year, which includes TV, digital and in-store promotion. The through-the-line campaign, which highlights what makes Londis different to other stores, starts with a 40-second TV ad.
The ads emphasise the brand’s localness. It shows how a Londis shop owner is part of community life through a still life art class, the local five a-side team, a family movie night and the local needlework club. Shot in Howth, the TV ad was created by Language, shot by Rocket Science Productions and directed by Ian Power.
Londis is also launching a Facebook initiative calling on consumers to show just how local they are by suggesting a great family break in their county. Shoppers are in with a chance of winning a holiday break. The submissions can include suggestions on places to stay, activity ideas, good places to eat and other hidden ‘gems’ that they want to share. Five finalists will be picked by public vote.
