Associated Newspapers Ireland (ANI) has teamed up with Guaranteed Irish for a campaign to spend an extra €4 per week locally. In an effort to help create as many as 6,000 extra jobs, the Irish Daily Mail has produced 30,000 window stickers for retailers and the public. The objective is to get the public thinking about shopping locally and supporting Irish business with window stickers which were distributed to retailers at the weekend.
Commenting on the initiative, ANI managing director Paul Henderson said the company prides itself on supporting Irish products in Ireland. “Simply put,” Henderson said, “it does make a difference. We’ve produced these stickers to encourage shoppers to do likewise and stay local.” ANI has 162 staff employed in Dublin. Its titles are the Irish Daily Mail, You Magazine, Irish Mail on Sunday, TV Week Magazine and Mail Online.
