Ireland’s top marketing and media magazine Marketing.ie returns after an unexpected Covid-19 break with a new issue being posted out on July 1. Editor Michael Cullen decided to put the magazine on hold in mid-March once it became clear that businesses would find it hard to do business as usual given the exceptional health and economic impact of the lockdown.
Regular Marketing.ie news reports and articles moved online to the magazine’s blog.
“With so much uncertainty around it would have been foolish to publish a magazine when advertisers were holding back and people in the industry – particularly in agencies – were working from home,” Cullen said. “Thankfully, advertising picked up in recent weeks, at least to the extent that we were able to produce an edition with enough ads to make it viable.”
Marketing.ie celebrates 30 years of magazine publishing this year.
