Sky awards telco work to WCRS

Bob Hoskins

BSkyB has awarded the creative work for the introduction of its broadband and telephony services in Ireland to London agency WCRS. A company spokesman said the agency was chosen because of its work in launching Sky Broadband in the UK. Dublin agencies Boys and Girls, Cawley NeaTBWA, Chemistry and Ogilvy pitched.

Chemistry has worked for Sky Ireland in recent months on the digital switchover. The Sky spokesman added that the company intends to continue to hire Dublin agencies. Cawley NeaTBWA was the RTE agency up to last year when the account moved to Publicis. Ogilvy has done work for TV3 in recent years.
