The Irish Daily Star has developed online by launching entertainment website www.starplus.ie featuring entertainment and showbiz news online which can be accessed on computer, smartphone, laptop or tablet. Run by The Star’s showbiz and entertainment journalists, the site features news of music, movies, games and gadgets, as well as the latest red carpet goings on from overseas events on OK TV.
Star managing director Paul Cooke, above left, with editor Ger Colleran, said: “We’ve always been Ireland’s top showbiz publication, but now when we’ve an entertainment story it can be read in the paper and watched online.” Cooke said the site has generated interest with videos and stories being retweeted.
