Sam Smyth’s Sunday show on Today FM now runs from 11am to 1pm
In a move aimed at trying to compete better with other weekend talk shows, Today FM has announced that it is extending its two main Sunday morning programmes, The Sunday Business Show and its current affairs magazine programme presented by veteran journalist, Sam Smyth.
The Sunday Business Show will now start a half an hour earlier at 10am and will run until 11am. The show is presented on alternate weeks by former Sunday Business Post journalist Ted Harding and public relations consultant Conall O Moráin.
Sam Smyth on Sunday, formerly Sunday Supplement starts at 11am, the same time as Marian Finucane on RTE Radio 1 and the new Eamon Dunphy show on Newstalk. All shows feature a guest panel reviewing the papers and debating the stories of the week.
Smyth’s show will feature an in-depth interview with someone high profile, delving into the guest’s personality. A radio column will allow contributors discuss a topic of their choosing with listeners’ comments.
