Cooney takes break from adland

Fintan Cooney

Fintan Cooney has left Chemistry and plans to take a career break from advertising for personal reasons. Cooney, a highly-respected client service director, has been with Chemistry for over 13 years. He was also an agency shareholder. His main accounts in recent years included Coors Light for Heineken Ireland, Lidl, the Referendum Commission, the NSAI and the Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS).

Before joining Chemistry, he worked as an account director for McCann’s for eight years and spent five years at Dimension. He served on the IAPI board in the last two years and was a director of St James’s Hospital Foundation. Former Javelin executive Mags McLoughlin is filling in for Cooney at Chemistry.
