Sunday Times marketer sought

Ruth Brady, News International

News International is looking for a new marketing manager for the Sunday Times Ireland edition. The executive opening arises following the resignation of Michelle McCarthy from the company in December. An interim has been filling the role in the meantime but News International is now keen to find a permanent replacement. The person who is appointed will report to the company’s head of marketing in Ireland, Ruth Brady (above).

In the ad which ran in the Sunday Times appointment section at the weekend, News International said they wish to appoint “a dynamic marketer to be the brand guardian and architect” of the newspaper’s marketing plan. The successful candidate will have “a passion for brands, excellent communications skills, proven ability to influence stakeholders and strong commercial acumen”. A “competitive remuneration package” is on offer.

Rory Brennan’s Marketing Career Recruitment is managing the process. Interested parties are invited to email CVs to RoryBrennan@careerrecruitment.ie, or call him in confidence on 087-9930010.
