Bord Bia has launched its 2015 food and drink awards. Through eight categories, the awards will recognize excellence in branding, consumer insight, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, export development, innovation, success on the home market and sustainability. Companies may apply online at www.bordbia.ie/awards and entries close at 5pm on Friday, July 24.
The awards are open to all food and drink brands produced in Ireland, that are verified members of Bord Bia’s Origin Green sustainability programme. Companies must be in business for at least two fiscal years and, where relevant, companies should source materials approved under the Bord Bia Quality Assurance Schemes.
Entries will be assessed by a judging panel chaired by John Fanning, who heads up Bord Bia’s Brand Forum. The panel of nine includes senior representatives from Bord Bia, Spar International, P&G, The Agricultural Trust, 2degrees, Google and Facebook.
The winners will be announced at Bord Bia’s annual Brand Forum end of year event in the Mansion House in Dublin on Thursday, November 12. The guest speaker at the awards ceremony will be Joe Schmidt, the Ireland rugby team’s head coach.
RTE’s Keelin Shanley (above) will be MC for the evening.
