Fresh from their appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the US, Crystal Swing featured this morning on The Ray D’Arcy Show on Today FM. The Cork threesome spoke of the experience of appearing on US daytime TV and how it was the “best day of their lives” and the huge exposure it gave them.
The Murray-Burkes, who hail from near Midleton in east Cork, sang two songs on air, including a version of their now famous ‘He Drinks Tequila’ song. The line ‘He drinks tequila/She talks dirty in Spanish’ was changed to ‘He drinks Tanora/She talks dirty in Irish’ in honour of the show.
During the interview Dervla, 16, revealed that she is a single lady. The live performances also featured her mum Mary and brother Derek, 18, and they were video streamed on the Today FM website. Crystal Swing will soon go on a nationwide tour.
