Oran Day of Atelier David Smith design agency has been elected president of the Institute of Creative Advertising & Design (ICAD). Day replaces DDFH&B creative director Gavin O’Sullivan. Judy O Broin of Havas Dublin Worldwide and commercials producer Fiona Kinsella have also stepped down from the board. New board members are Alexis Bouckaert, EightyTwenty; Daniel Henson, Irish International; Eddie Gardner, Rothco Social; Jake Walshe, Screen Scene; Kathryn Wilson, Slater and Matt Evans, McCann Blue.
ICAD operations director Elaine McDevitt said this year’s Upstarts programme for young creatives is already underway and the exhibition and awards book will be available soon. As well as expanding ICAD’s events programme the new board hope to encourage more collaboration and membership involvement. ICAD was founded in 1958 and is the oldest creative industry organisation of its kind in Europe.
ICAD’s mission is to foster, promote and rewards creative excellence in Irish advertising and design through events, workshops and projects.
