Anyone interested in entering campaigns for this year’s awards for excellence in PR, public affairs and communications organised by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) have until Tuesday March 5. The awards comprise 16 categories, including consumer, media relations, corporate, sponsorship, public information and internal communication.
Two new categories have been added this year, namely the top issues-led campaign and best long-term campaign. PRII chief executive Martina Byrne (above) said the issues-led category is a response to emerging issues, such as obesity, homelessness, inequality and climate change. Long-term campaigns is for planned and delivered over three years.
The young communications professional of the year honours emerging talent aged 28 and under. The awards judging panel includes PRII president Padraig McKeon, formerly of Drury Porter Novelli; Geoff Lyons, PML; Florence White, Ervia, Carmel Doyle, Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation; Krisna De, Biz Growth Media and Michael Cullen, Marketing.ie.
