DMG Media Ireland has announced that its parent group has acquired OneFabDay, the online wedding media brand targeting consumers in the UK and Ireland for an undisclosed sum. The title joins the DMG Media Ireland portfolio of Extra.ie, Mail Online, Evoke, RollerCoaster.ie, the Irish Daily Mail, Irish Mail on Sunday and, most recently, the i newspaper.
Since its launch by Naoise McNally and Susan Gallagher in 2011, OneFabDay.com has grown with an international audience and an “exclusive network of advertisers and brands”. The media brand covers the Irish wedding industry at home and overseas, claiming over 300 advertisers, 550,000 unique readers per month and 325,000+ in social media followers.
DMG Media Ireland CEO Paul Henderson said acquiring the OneFabDay site to their portfolio means that they now reach in excess of 90 per cent of Irish women across all age groups. “It’s an iconic brand which has been professionally managed by its founders for almost a decade. The site is the trust centre for brides,” Henderson added.
