Thousands of food and wine enthusiasts are expected to turn up at one of the top gastronomical events of the year as some of the country’s top chefs demonstrate their favourite festive recipes at the Food & Wine Christmas Show in the RDS Main Hall starting today and running all weekend.

Among the chefs taking part are Ross Lewis of Chapter One, Derry Clarke of l’Ecrivian, Neven Maguire, MacNean House & Restaurant, Dylan McGrath, Rustic Stone and Kevin Thornton, Thornton’s Restaurant. Wine expert Raymond Blake will be on hand to recommend wines to go with each dish.
The show features tutored tastings at master classes, an artisan village with a host of Irish food producers’ tastings, restaurants offering tapas-style sample tastings and stands selling festive gifts and stocking fillers. Kids under 12 can visit Santa’s grotto for free and there is an area set aside for people to relax.
