JWT group acquires PR agency

The JWT group has expanded its Ireland operation by acquiring Bespoke Communications, the PR, social media and experiential agency run by Neil O’Gorman. Bespoke is merging with Direction@JWT to form Bespoke with Direction, to service clients such as Centra, Failte Ireland, Sony PlayStation and Nokia.
Prior to Bespoke, O’Gorman had been a director at Edelman. Other news on the PR front includes O’Leary PR winning Mattel and O’Herlihy Communications taking on the European Cross Country Championships to be run at the Santry Demesne in December. The event is the first of its kind to be staged in Ireland.
Tony O’Brien Communications, run by the former Evening Herald journalist of the same name, is acting for Ordnance Survey Ireland as it marks its 185th anniversary. Waterford City Council has invited tenders from PR agencies for the Tall Ships Race in 2011. Submissions must be in by this Friday.
