Newstalk has announced a new weekend schedule with new shows and presenters. Newstalk Breakfast will now run across seven days, with Susan Keogh presenting on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8am. The stations says it will be the only live national news and current affairs breakfast show at weekends with news stories, analysis and opinion.
Newstalk business editor Vincent Wall will host a new business show called Taking Stock on Sunday mornings where he will take a global view of business stories and the trends affecting the world economy. The new weekend line-up includes new lifestyle programmes, with INM journalist Sinead Ryan hosting The Home Show on Saturday mornings.
PwC will sponsor Taking Stock and the EBS is title sponsor of The Home Show.
Sunday mornings sees the arrival of Alive and Kicking presented by Clare McKenna, focusing on fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and health news. Gavan Reilly will host On The Record from 11am. Down to Business with Bobby Kerr, Futureproof with Jonathan McCrea, Tech Talk with Jess Kelly and Between The Lines with Andrea Gilligan continue as before.
John Fardy will now host the movie and TV show ScreenTime.
