Nutritics rolls out food ordering app

Swords-based nutrition and food tech software provider Nutritics has launched a new ordering app for restaurants and cafés to assist consumers and offset the impact of reduced capacity under Fáilte Ireland’s new guidelines for re-opening restaurants and cafés. The app is available on a complimentary basis until the end of October this year.

The app allows consumers to order in less than a minute with real-time menu updates alongside detailed nutrition and allergen information, when needed. It reduces the need for staff to go between customer and kitchen thereby minimising social contact and risk of infection. It has since grown to include menu analysis and food and allergen labelling.

The app works with websites and social media accounts alongside in-store tablets for reduced social contact ordering. QR codes enable walk-ins to order from the queue – so less waiting times. Nutritics was co-founded by brothers Damian and Ciaran O’Kelly (pictured) to address a gap in reliable nutritional information for high performance athletes.

Trading with 80,000 food businesses, nutrition professionals and universities in 175 countries. Nutritics’ customers include the HSE, NHS, UCD, Oxford Brookes University, Manchester City FC, South African Rugby, Costa Coffee and Wagamama.
