Sky customers can now get more on demand content with the addition of the RTÉ Player to its catch up TV service. A spokesperson for Sky said the move is part of a long-term partnership between Sky and RTÉ to increase the number of channels and the ways in which content can be accessed on Sky’s services in Ireland. It means Sky customers can catch up on a range of RTÉ’s most popular shows, including Fair City, RTÉ News and Nationwide.
Offering content from over 45 channels, including Sky Atlantic, Channel 4, TV3 and now RTÉ, Sky customers can view catch up content at no extra cost, making it easier to see shows they may have missed, up to 30 days after the original transmission date. With almost 10 million catch up downloads already this year, the most popular shows for Sky customers include Coronation St, Geordie Shore, Britain’s Got Talent, Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol.
Customers can access RTÉ Player on Sky + HD, or on the Sky Q set top box.
