Sky has signed a new multi-year deal making Disney Plus available for subscription in the UK and Ireland on Sky Q, to be followed by Now TV soon. Customers will be able to watch new shows such as The Mandalorian, above, with the Star Wars’ Yoda character; High School Musical; The Musical; The Series and The World According to Jeff Goldblum.
As the deal includes the first-pay window for 20th Century titles, Sky Cinema customers will continue to access blockbusters like Le Mans ’66 and Terminator: Dark Fate. Sky group CEO Jeremy Darroch said they had built a strong partnership with Disney over three decades and customers in the UK and Ireland would continue to access the content on Sky Q.
