Mindshare managing director David Sneddon is quitting the WPP agency to join Google. Based in Dublin, he will take charge of online sales for Germany, Austria and Switzerland from April. Mindshare’s deputy managing director, Emma O’Doherty, will replace Sneddon.

Initiative boss Chris Rayner is leaving Ireland to move to the agency’s head office in New York.  Rayner will become Initiative’s worldwide client director in April. Emer McHugh will take over as CEO in Dublin pending the appointment of a permanent successor.

Rayner moved to Ireland from DDB London in 2005. Changes at Ogilvy include the departures of Ian Brewer, creative director, Ogilvy and John Milne, creative director, OgilvyOne. A new creative boss, Colin Nimick, has joined from OgilvyOne London.
