The Public House wins Bord na Móna

Independent creative agency The Public House has been appointed as the strategic and creative agency for Bord na Móna solid fuel home heating. The agency was appointed following a three-way competitive pitch. The other agencies which presented were not named. Bord na Móna has been in home heating since 1946 using peat sources in the Midlands.

However, recently the company has undergone significant structural changes, transitioning towards sustainable energy, resource recovery and biodiversity. Elaine Negi, brand and product manager at Bord Na Móna, said that what prompted the appointment was the agency’s philosophy of ‘Boring Doesn’t Sell’ which she said comes through in all of the work.

“They are a strategically sharp agency with tonnes of creative bravery and we can’t wait to get started,” Negi added. The Public House, run by Catrióna Campbell and Colin Hart, already handles Barnardos, Paddy Power, The Belfast Telegraph and 48.
