Today FM is launching a new weekend schedule with Hector O’hEochagáin and Danny O’Reilly from The Coronas. The refreshed line up will see Alison Curtis extend her Saturday Breakfast show to a Sunday morning slot, while Sunday Business Post arts journalist Nadine O’Regan will host ‘Songs in the Key of Life’ on Sunday nights on the station.
Festival and club scene DJ Kelly-Anne Byrne will present her discotastic ‘The Beat Goes On’ from 10pm on Sunday nights – as well as Saturday nights. Ed Smith’s ‘Ed’s Songs of Praise’ indie music show moves to an earlier time of 7pm on Sundays. Danny O’Reilly will host an eight-week series called ‘A Different Side’ on Sundays from 4pm.
O’Reilly’s show will explore and celebrate the role of music in the lives of some of Ireland’s best known people from sport, cinema, TV and radio. Hector O’hEochagáin, who is currently covering for Ian Dempsey’s breakfast show, will join the weekend schedule in August with ‘Hector’s Sunday Sitting Room’ – a three-hour show from 4pm.
Philip Cawley continues to host his afternoon shows on Saturday and Sunday, while Neil Delamere’s Sunday Best and The Sunday Business Show complete the stations weekend line-up. Sunday morning presenter Declan Meehan is to retire from the station after 20 years, while Jim O’Neill’s last show goes out this coming Sunday.
Today FM’s new weekend line-up comes into effect on Saturday, July 2.
