TU Tallaght students briefed on Toyota

Fourth year advertising and marketing students at TU Tallaght have teamed up with Javelin and Toyota on their final year marketing project. The students were briefed at Toyota Ireland HQ this week. The project they have been briefed on is Toyota’s Face It Down initiative, run in association with the Road Safety Authority (RSA).

Face It Down rewards motorists for leaving their mobile phones face down while driving. To date over 40,000 drivers have signed up, aimed at helping to make Irish roads safer. The students are tasked with taking the initiative to the next level. They will spend five months researching, conceptualising, ideating and planning the campaign.

The project will culminate in a formal presentation to Toyota’s senior marketing team, Javelin directors and TU Tallaght lecturers next May. Aoife Hofler, Javelin’s director of media and marketing, has worked with the college’s final year students for the past four years. She looks forward to what the students come back with next May.
