Young marketers from across the industry attended the Marketing Society Future Council’s first event in Foley’s on Merrion Row. Aimed at marketing professionals with 3-5-years’ experience, the ‘Influencing the Influencers’ forum saw the audience receive advice from the panel of speakers on how to be more influential within their careers.

With a breadth of experience across the industry, speakers on the night included Rory Hamilton, the Executive Creative Director of Boys and Girls, Fiona Buckley, independent corporate trainer, lecturer and conference speaker and Padraig Hyland, communications coach, facilitator and speaker. The event was sponsored by DMG Media.

Commenting on the event, Future Council chairperson Chloe Murphy, a strategic planner at Boys and Girls, said she was delighted to see so many people from across the industry at the first Marketing Society Future Council gathering. Those who attended said the night was fun, engaging and useful, which is precisely what the council sets out to achieve.

The council’s seven panel members have worked in the industry for five years or less. The aim is to promote thought leadership and help develop the society.
