AAI hosts Dutch creatives

KBC Ad in the Forty Foot

The Association of Advertisers in Ireland (AAI) will host a morning seminar talk by KesselsKramer creative director Richard Walker and managing director and partner Engin Celikbas explaining their vision on what it takes to create great work and getting the best from an agency. Since its launch in Amsterdam in 1996, KesselsKramer (KK) has built the agency around strategic planning, creative work and production services.

The KK way of thinking holds that creativity is more important than profit as it “puts bread on our tables”. They say it is only by staying independent that they can continue to focus on creativity instead of becoming sucked into being producers of “visual wallpaper”. Walker and Celikbas will share personal stories about great and not so great client-agency relationships and its effect on the company’s creative output.

KK works for KBC Bank in Ireland (pictured above), whose head of brand and marketing is AAI president Aidan Power. The talk is at 8.15am in the Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar on Thursday, May 8. Tickets are free to AAI members and €35 to non-members. For more details and to book go to http://gettingthebest.eventbrite.ie
