From little acorns… Acorn Marketing, the Dublin direct marketing agency founded by Frank McCaughey in 2006, has been acquired by the US Hyper Marketing group for a figure in the region of €6 million. Acorn has seen consistent growth in recent years and was named the An Post Agency of the Year (above) in the past two years.

The buy-out will allow Hyper expands its interests in Europe. New offices are planned for London, Brussels and Geneva. Run by former Publicis UK executive Phil Cottier and Estelle Gorby, Acorn clients include Bank of Ireland, DAA, Dell, Gorta, Molson Coors, RSA Insurance and its subsidiary and Windsor Motors.

Acorn and Hyper both work for Google.
