CBS Outdoor Ireland has now formally completed its rebrand as Exterion Media. The rebrand follows the acquisition of CBS Outdoor International by Platinum Equity last September. Platinum Equity is an equity firm specialising in mergers, acquisitions and operations. Exterion Media’s core business covers various out of home (OOH) formats, including transport, billboards, street furniture and major shopping centres.
The company was recently appointed to handle the CIE contract following a tender process.
Exterion Media has operations in Europe and China and partnerships worldwide. Its advertising reaches 73 per cent of the world’s population accounting for 91 per cent of the worlds’ GDP. WARC (www.warc.com) ranks OOH as the fastest-growing advertising category globally after the internet. It predicts a 2.8 per cent growth for 2013, rising to 3.7 per cent this year, Exterion’s marketing manager Antoinette O’Callaghan said.
