Clarke earns top recognition

Diageo’s category marketing manager Tanya Clarke is among ten women to receive the HSBC corporate executives award as part of the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) honours for Ireland’s 25 most powerful women. The awards are made on the basis of company turnover, staff numbers, stock market listing, role responsibility, role budget, breaking traditional barriers and the winner’s contribution to Irish society.

There is no nomination process for the awards. RTE broadcaster Marian Finucane was a winner in the arts and culture category. Among the members of the WXN advisory board are Orlaith Blaney, chief executive, McCann Erickson; Mary Davis, Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia and joint winner of the Marketer of the Year award with Suzanne Weldon in 2003 and Maeve Donovan, former managing director of The Irish Times.
