Society to discuss big data

Big Data

The Marketing Society will debate the issue of big data and whether it might mean a new world of perfectly targeted messaging for connected consumers, delivering profit at the touch of a button. Is it true or is it all hype? Will big data evaporate amid privacy fears, confusion and the technical difficulty of getting value from a mountain of disparate data? The talk will discuss the benefits and pitfalls facing clients, agencies and media.

The speakers include Marco Bertozzi, executive managing director EMEA at Vivak, the strategic digital arm of Publicis Omnicom; Dan Michelson, head of digital capability, direct marketing, 02 Telefonica UK and Graham Merriman, managing director, Carrickane Consulting and previously global director of online sales at Philips. The seminar is in The Foundry at Google Docks on Barrow Street at 8am on Wednesday, November 27.

The ticket price for members is €50, non-members €70.
