An Post returns to the mobile market with the launch of Post Mobile. The move includes a range of pre-pay propositions like the ‘all-in’ data for €20 a month, designed to appeal to data consumers on the lookout for a bargain bundle. Post Mobile becomes the country’s biggest retail channel mobile phone operator, with a weekly footfall of 900,000 in 250 post offices.

Target McConnells and Starcom are handling the relaunch. The €750k campaign includes two 30” TV ads, directed by Declan Lowney of Father Ted, Moone Boy and Alan Partridge fame. Tapping into tongue-in-cheek Irish ‘truisms’ and playing up the offers available across data, talk and text, the ads include radio, press, digital and a short TVC version on VOD.

Post Mobile’s €20 per month bundle is a value solution for consumers’ entire mobile top up needs, offering 3GB/5GB data and 250 minutes talk plus 250 texts to an network. Post Mobile “All Talk” offers unlimited talk and texts to any network for €20 per month. The An Post retail network offers various handsets, including Sony Xperia E4 and Microsoft Lumia 532.
