Call made for Marketing Society nominations

The deadline for nominations for the four vacancies on the Marketing Society council is midday next Tuesday, society chairman Mark Nolan of Ignite Research has said. There are three openings on the society’s general panel, as Pat Stephenson of Boys and Girls, Leona Daly, Heineken and Gráinne O’Brien, Murray Consultants, step down.

With Behaviour & Attitudes’ Martha Fanning retiring this year, there is also a vacancy on the research panel. Those staying on the council are Michael Clancy, MediaVest; Shane Doyle, MCCP; Mark Walsh, Novartis; Annette Ní Dháthlaoi (pictured), Liberty Insurance; Claire McFerran, Kellogg’s; Louise Soye, Ipsos MRBI and secretary Jonathan Ryan, Kellogg’s.

Nolan says they wish to hear from people interested in serving on the council. “The time commitment is not too demanding,” Nolan says, “with meetings once a month. It’s a great way to get involved and network.” Nomination forms for the vacancies must be signed by the nominee and accompanied by a recent photo and a biog of no more than 200 words.

The Marketing Society annual general meeting is in Residence on Friday, July 10.
