Byrne rejoins Huskies as content director

Dublin independent creative agency In the Company of Huskies has appointed Philip Byrne as content director. Byrne rejoins Huskies, having worked in various agency publishing roles elsewhere. He has a background in journalism, publishing, and branded content and was creative director at Buzzfeed in the UK and editorial director with Maximum’s Joe Media.

More recently, he was an editorial lead for YouTube, where he was responsible for the content strategy and publication for B2B YouTube ads marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as comms, strategy and production across various events, including Cannes, Ad Week and DMEXCO. The hiring of Byrne follows other recent Huskies’ news.

The highly-regarded Jane Madden joined from Vizeum as planning director.

The agency won Slane Irish Whiskey in a contest with Havas and two US agencies.
