Late Late figures up again


The viewing figures for RTE’s Late Late Show last Friday were up again after a poor start to the new season. Nielsen reports that 744,000 viewers tuned in to watch Ryan Tubridy interview Senator David Norris discuss his renewed hopes to rejoin the presidential race, actor John Hurt and Celebrity Big Brother Paddy Doherty.

The figures equate to 50 per cent of the available audience and is in line with last year. Worries had been expressed after the first show in the season, with Sinead O’Connor and actor Cuba Gooding jnr, attracting an audience of only 650,000, compared to 832,000 for the first Late Late of the new season last year.
