Sky rolls out €250k AdSmart SME scheme

Sky Media has launched a €250,000 AdSmart SME support scheme for businesses in Ireland. The fund will provide 25 businesses with a free €10,000 TV campaign on Sky’s AdSmart to support them during the current Covid-19 pandemic. Sky Media aims to reward businesses showing resolve and ingenuity at a time when TV consumption is up considerably.

Malcolm Murray, director of sales at Sky Media Ireland, said the scheme’s purpose is to help SMEs reach potential customers through the power of TV advertising. The initiative is open to businesses that have been operating for at least a year and have up to 50 full-time employees. Businesses can nominate themselves or may be put forward by a media agency.

Murray says AdSmart in Ireland has been used by over 100 brands across 400 campaigns. The SMEs chosen will represent various businesses across Ireland that are new to TV or have not advertised on TV in the last year. Creative for the ads will be supported by a number of local agencies. Entries for the scheme are open until Friday, May 29 2020.
