Valeo rolls out Jacob’s Club Chunky campaign

To mark the launch of Jacob’s Club Chunky, Valeo Foods is saluting Ireland’s social clubs with a new ad and activations campaign. Valeo worked with Havas in creating a radio jingle with members of the Booka Brass band, Oisín Walsh Peelo of Hudson Taylor and Irish music recording veteran Ben Rawlins – all backed up by experienced singers and gig musicians.

The campaign also sees comedian and Hardy Bucks alum Kevin McGahern travel to some of the quirkiest social clubs around the country. The series delves into what makes these clubs unique, with McGahern interviewing members and trying his hand at various fun activities – from roller derbies in Dublin to street performances in Cork.

Angela Harding, marketing communications manager, Valeo Foods, said the videos will run on Jacob’s social channels, in a tie-in with Independent News & Media (INM) and are supported by a national out of home campaign. Consumers will get a chance to sample the five new Club Chunky bars with a national sampling roadshow and in-store activity.
