As part of an international alignment, soft drinks company Britvic Ireland is moving its media planning and buying from OMD to WPP’s Group M. Britvic brands include Ballygowan, Miwadi and Robinsons. Britvic Ireland’s marketing director Kevin Donnelly thanked OMD for their contribution over the last seven years.
The company has operations in Dublin, Limerick, Thurles and Belfast. Ballygowan is being rebranded in a bid to halt falling sales of the 30-year-old water. Britvic paid C&C €250 million for its soft drinks in 2007. While Britvic reported growth overseas in 2011, its Irish operation saw a ten per cent drop in first quarter revenue.
