Communicorp backs Guaranteed Irish jobs push

Guaranteed Irish has agreed a new partnership deal with Communicorp Media aimed at supporting Irish jobs. Irish consumers are called on to support businesses in their locality in a bid to safeguard jobs among growing economic uncertainty in Ireland with Brexit looming. The Guaranteed Irish ad series features a number of well-known Irish companies.

Among the businesses are Ballymaloe Foods, tech firm Viatel and Kingspan. Communicorp Media brands include Newstalk, Today FM, 98FM, Spin and Off The Ball. The group claims to reach over half of Ireland’s population every week. The partnership comes off the back of Communicorp’s ‘Buy Local’ campaign created to promote the local main street.

Guaranteed Irish has a network of over 600 indigenous businesses, supporting about  71,390 jobs with an annual combined turnover of €11.2 billion to the economy. The body has three core criteria when assessing company memberships – evidence of delivering quality Irish jobs, supporting local communities and a commitment to Irish provenance.
