Javelin’s Kyla O’Kelly joins ASAI board

The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) has appointed Javelin director Kyla O’Kelly to its board. She will now work with the ASAI in managing the body’s business and in drawing up and implementing the code of standards for promoting the highest standards in advertising and marketing communications in Ireland.

O’Kelly’s role at Javelin includes working on the overall agency direction and vision while also overseeing the business of several clients.  She is also a board director for the Young Social Innovators (YSI), a charity which works to deliver social innovation training through enabling projects with young people in schools across the country.

Prior to joining Javelin, she lived and worked in Brussels training at the European Commission, followed by a communications role at an independent EU public affairs conference specialist. The ASAI is funded by the advertising industry. The objective is to ensure that all commercial marketing communications are ‘legal, decent, honest and truthful’.
