JYSK to open seven new stores soon

Following the opening of its first five Irish stores in 2019, Danish home retail brand JYSK plans to open seven more stores in the first half of 2020. The next two stores will open in Waterford at the end of February and in Limerick in late March. JYSK has its sights set on opening outlets in Sligo, Carlow and Dublin, plus two stores in Cork city, this summer

JYSK will create more than 70 full-time jobs with the new openings.

Last year, JYSK announced that it would open 15 stores across Ireland. However, due to its success in the Irish market, it now plans to open 40 stores over the next three to five years, with a forecasted turnover of €70 million, creating hundreds of new jobs. Founded in Denmark in 1979 by Lars Larsen, JYSK is in 51 countries with around 2,700 stores worldwide.
