Lawn helps judge 17th annual EPA Digital Awards

Starcom deputy managing director Emer Lawn is among the judges for this year’s EPA Digital Media Awards being presented later this month. The awards recognise and promote creativity and innovation across digital content creation, advertising and marketing, mobile media, social networking, app development and web design and development.

The 2020 finalists were selected from over 391 nominations by 25 industry judges. Now in its 17th year, the awards will see finalists compete across 10 categories, including best agency – the top award of the night – best brand, best collaborative campaign, best in big data and analytics, best in sustainable development and the digital student of the year.

Among the finalists are AIB, CPL, Dentsu Aegis Network, Edelman, Media Central and OMD.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) comes on board as this year’s headline sponsor with the theme ‘Be the Change’, highlighting the personal responsibility everyone has in protecting our environment and drawing attention to the small changes we can all make in our everyday lives. Over 700 people are expected to attend the awards.

Apart from Emer Lawn, this year’s judging panel also includes Elaine Doyle, head of YouTube Ireland; Alan Devlin, commercial director, Web Factory; Ireland AM presenter, Colin Baker and Maximum Media creative director Monika Crowley. The awards will be presented at a dinner in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road on Friday, February 21.
