Mark Tighe named top journalist

News Ireland’s Mark Tighe was voted Ireland’s top journalist at the NewsBrands Ireland Journalism Awards. Tighe was also named top news reporter and saluted for scoop of the year for his Sunday Times reports into the FAI and its former CEO, John Delaney. Staff writers, reporters, columnists and freelancers were honoured in 25 categories.

Reporter, editor and broadcaster Paddy Clancy received a lifetime achievement award.
