Marketing Network reminds people to ‘get real’

Marketing Network is running a social media campaign to press home public awareness of personal responsibility around the spread of Covid-19 and the need to protect the country’s healthcare workers. Doctors and nurses continue to work tirelessly on the frontline in a bid to control the pandemic as the country prepares for the autumn and winter months.

Kieran Killeen (above), managing director, Marketing Network, said that following the recent TV documentaries on RTE One, the agency felt a need to emphasise public awareness around Covid-19 and our healthcare workers as they prepare to work on the frontline in the months ahead. ‘Get Real’ supports them by reminding people of their own responsibilities.

A study by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) showed that Irish healthcare workers have the highest rate of Covid-19 in the world. The Department of Health’s latest study found that 8,000 out of the 25,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases were healthcare workers. People must remind themselves that small actions make a big difference in saving lives.
