McDonald’s reopens 32 of its restaurants

Following a successful pilot, McDonald’s has reopened 32 of its dine-in fast food restaurants across the country, including at its flagship Grafton Street outlet in Dublin city centre. It follows the reopening for takeaway, drive thru and delivery over the last seven weeks. The dine-ins reopen with new safety measures, including mandatory table service.

Customers are able to order directly to their table using the My McDonald’s app at the till or kiosk. In line with Government guidance, McDonald’s is asking eat-in customers to leave their contact details by using their smart phone to either scan a QR code taking them to a web page or visit the web page directly with the URL details provided on each table.

Customers are asked to leave the name of the lead member and the number of people from their group, a phone number, the date and time of visit and the restaurant number (identified on each table sticker). Social distancing measures will also be in place. When arriving, customers are asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and follow the safety measures.
