The Rye River Brewing Company beer McGargles is the winner of the fourth annual Love Irish Food brand development award. The win sees McGargles receive €70,000 worth of out of home advertising space from Exterion Media. In addition, ad agency OwensDDB has contributed an €8,000 creative bursary to the award open to Love Irish Food members.
The ads will appear nationally for two weeks across Exterion Media’s PurchasePoint retail network and across their digital retail portfolio. The package includes print production and digital animation. Love Irish Food and Exterion Media will also mentor McGargles’ owners and plan the campaign to ensure it delivers the best results for their business objectives.
Celbridge-based Rye River Brewing Company was launched two years ago by former Coors Molson executive Niall Phelan, with Alan Wolfe and Tom Cronin. Kieran Rumley, executive director, Love Irish Food, said the award gives McGargles owners the chance to directly connect with their target audience and will hopefully bring the brand to the next level.
