OMG set to roll out Resolution

Garret O'Beirne, OMD 2

Omnicom Media Group (OMG) in Ireland is about to formally launch its Resolution search and optimisation platform to leverage scale, data and knowledge for clients. The new unit will be headed up by OMG digital boss Garret O’Beirne (above). OMG is headed up by Dave Harland, with Tim Griffiths in charge at OMD and Jason Nebenzahl running PHD. OMD clients include UPC, Unilever, PepsiCo and Eason. It recently lost Vodafone to GroupM’s MEC.

PHD accounts include Fáilte Ireland, Topaz, Kerrygold, Dr Oetker, The Irish Times and FedEx.

The high churn rate among staff in adland continues with the news that Carat’s Mark James is rejoining GroupM. James, who joined Carat as a director from Mindshare, will head up Vodafone at MEC. He began his career with Optimedia in London and later worked with Universal McCann and McConnells. Ian McGrath is also leaving Carat and he joins MediaCom to work alongside the GroupM agency’s managing director, Andrew Dunn.

OMD account director Oilbhe Doyle is to move to Carat.
