Students of the IAPI/DIT advertising and digital communications postgraduate course will make an industry pitch on an undisclosed brief in DIT at 6pm on Thursday, December 15. Last year was the college’s first pitch night when students split into two rival teams for a Fáilte Ireland brief, judged by four industry experts.
This year’s brief is being kept under wraps until the 16 part-time night students present their insights and creative ideas to the industry. Two industry judges, Pearse McCaughey (pictured), group creative director, Cawley NeaTBWA and Beth Gormley, head of social media strategy, Brando, will score the two pitches.
The course was created in response from the industry of a shortage of staff with digital skills. The integrated programme was jointly developed by the IAPI education taskforce and DIT from scratch, building on their previous diploma course. Agencies interested in new talent are encouraged to attend the pitch night.
