Reach shines a May Day mirror on home office

It’s National Workplace Wellbeing Day in Ireland today and Irish Mirror publisher Reach has marked the occasion with a full page in today’s paper celebrating the staff behind its newsbrands. National Workplace Wellbeing Day is a campaign by Irish Business & Employers Confederation (IBEC) to promote staff physical and mental health.

As many people juggle work responsibilities with domestic life in home offices across the country right now, Reach staff in Dublin, Cork and Belfast are no different. The commercial and editorial teams behind Reach newsbrands – Irish Mirror, Dublin Live, RSVP, Cork Beo and Belfast Live – came together to produce a picture montage in today’s newspaper.

They share a glimpse of life in lockdown whilst still delivering the news titles each day. Joanne McGreevy, managing director, Reach Ireland, said it was really important at this time that the Mirror stays connected with its readers and each other. “So for our readers, we thought they’d like to see some of the faces behind the brands they read,” McGreevy said.

“In difficult times, focusing on the things we can control helps us cope with the things we can’t and that’s why our teams, in their new working from home reality, are putting all their effort into making sure our readers continue to get the news they need and trust everyday and our commercial teams are still delivering for our advertising partners,” she added.
