Recognising that social isolation poses challenges for people and that a little bit of kindness can go a long way, Boots Ireland is working with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) to have medicines delivered to vulnerable patients all over the country. Boots and the FAI currently have a three-year sponsorship with the Republic of Ireland women’s national team.
The new programme will see over 30 FAI community development officers volunteering their time, five days a week, to help Boots deliver prescription medicines to customers who may not be able to access their pharmacy for reasons such as being in a vulnerable group or cocooning, promoting the work already underway with many local authorities.
