Heineken Ireland has appointed The Brand Fans to support its sponsorships. Set up by Vodafone’s former global head of sponsorship, cause marketing and media Daragh Persse in 2011, The Brand Fans works for the FAI, IRFU, Barclays, Olympic Council of Ireland and Rowing Ireland. Persse reports to Heineken’s senior sponsorship manager, Karl Donnelly. Rothco handles Heineken advertising and Thinkhouse its PR.
In a statement confirming the news, Donnelly said The Brand Fans has a huge amount of sponsorship experience and Persse will bring a fresh and innovative approach to strategy, activation and evaluation. He said he was looking forward to working with the agency on the next phase of Heineken activity.
